Fire Incident in Southwest Delhi Leaves Two Injured
In a distressing incident on Thursday, a fire erupted in a residence located in Mohan Block, Sagarpur, southwest Delhi, resulting in injuries to two individuals. The victims, identified as Manoj (40) and Rahul (32), suffered burns on their hands and faces during the incident.
Upon receiving a call from the police control room, the Sagarpur police station dispatched a team to the location. The Fire Brigade also swiftly responded to the emergency. The incident unfolded on the first floor of a 40-yard house, where firefighters and police worked jointly to extinguish the flames.
A senior police official reported, “In the effort to extinguish and contain the fire, two occupants, Manoj and Rahul, sustained burn injuries on hands and face. Fire was later extinguished.” Both individuals are in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from a short circuit. The authorities assure a thorough inquiry into the incident to ascertain the precise cause and take necessary measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
