“Alliance is Strong and Unified: Akhilesh Yadav Confirms Partnership with Congress”

In response to recent speculations, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav emphatically confirmed today that the alliance between Samajwadi Party and Congress in Uttar Pradesh is robust and free from disputes. Addressing his absence from Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Amethi and Rae Bareli, Yadav stated, “All is well that ends well…there is no dispute…there will be an alliance.”

The clarification comes after Akhilesh Yadav had previously mentioned that he would join Rahul Gandhi’s yatra only after finalizing the seat-sharing arrangement. Sources reveal that both parties are likely to hold a joint press conference soon to formally announce the seat-sharing agreement. As part of the deal, the Samajwadi Party is set to allocate 17-19 seats to the Congress out of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

In the latest development, the Congress has been assigned the Sitapur seat instead of Hathras, following negotiations between the two parties. This confirmation brings relief to the opposition bloc in India, which has recently faced setbacks with other regional parties like Trinamool Congress and AAP deciding to contest elections independently in certain states.

While there were initial surprises, including the Samajwadi Party unilaterally declaring candidates for 31 seats, the alliance seems to be solidifying as both parties work towards a collaborative effort in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
